About us

At Social Care Wales, we provide leadership and expertise in social care and early years in Wales. Our vision is to make a positive difference to care and support for children, adults, and their families and carers.

To achieve this, we lead on developing and regulating the social care workforce, service improvement, and data and research to improve care. Through our quality assurance work, we support social work educators in both education and practice settings, ensuring the highest level of training for the next generation of social workers.

We are now looking for a Project Co-ordinator to join us on a fixed-term basis until 31 August 2026. This role is offered with flexible working options and we will consider candidates as part of a job share.

You must be based in the UK to apply for this role and be able to visit one of the stated offices when required.

The Role

As a Project Co-ordinator, you will support a variety of improvement and development work areas, projects, networks and partnerships.

Providing a critical administrative service, you will work in both English and Welsh, assisting with project development and delivery and playing a vital support role in co-ordinating internal and external meetings.

Additionally, you will collect and analyse data and build recommendations for future objectives and priorities, as well as establishing and maintaining administrative systems, procedures and databases.

About You

To be considered as a Project Co-ordinator, you will need:

- Experience in business administration
- Experience of arranging events i.e. workshops, conferences or training courses
- Experience providing administration support at meetings, including taking minutes
- Experience working both independently and as part of a team
- Knowledge of the public sector and an understanding of the Welsh Government’s role in the work of Social Care Wales
- Effective time and priority management
- Fluency in English and Welsh, including listening, writing and speaking
